Position Description: The Health System Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, management and completion of medium to large health system projects and may also support projects of high complexity as part of a program team in collaboration with a Senior Project Manager and/or Program Manager. The Project Manager works with limited guidance and is responsible for leading the project management life-cycle; designing, and driving project plans; maintaining project schedules; managing tasks, issues and risks; facilitating meetings; communicating updates; managing budgets.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or other
related field and 3 years or more of experience in project management. Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement. Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Windows applications (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point, MSVisio & MS-Project). Proficiency with tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance. Certification required: Project Management Professional or obtained within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Requirements: 3 years or more of experience in enterprise project management and service delivery. Understanding of SDLC principles and
methodologies. Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.
