About the Position:
We are looking for a Project Manager who thrives on managing complexity across multiple parties. This role is the connective tissue between our clients, subcontractors, client vendors, and site general contractors — resolving quality issues flagged by receiving and site teams, representing Allison-Smith in every relevant project meeting, and keeping every external party moving in the same direction. This is a coordination-and-execution role: no dropped balls, no surprises, and a client relationship that never has to wonder “who do I call?”
This position is based out of our West Atlanta, GA facility, with regular travel to client, vendor, and project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the client on assigned projects, managing expectations and surfacing concerns before they escalat
- Coordinate day-to-day with subcontractors on scheduling, scope clarification, and performance follow-up
- Coordinate with the client's vendors to align delivery, installation, and service timelines with the project schedule
- Maintain working relationships with client site general contractors to keep site-level logistics aligned with project needs
- Route QA/QC issues to the responsible party and track resolution to completion, confirming client sign-off
- Attend all relevant project meetings involving the client, the client's vendors, and site GCs, representing Allison-Smith's project interests
- Prepare agendas where appropriate, document meeting minutes and action items, and distribute follow-ups to all relevant parties
- Track commitments made by any party (client, vendor, GC, subcontractor) through to closure
- Maintain project schedules, task lists, and status reports across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Prepare and maintain project plans, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation
- Coordinate with Procurement on material orders and delivery schedules; relay requirements and timelines without ordering authority
- Provide day-to-day task direction to project support staff and subcontractors on assigned initiatives
- Generate status updates and dashboards for leadership using project management or ERP tools
- Develop and manage change order requests and approved change orders
- Support estimating and proposal development for project opportunites
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, client-facing operations, or construction/installation coordination
- Experience managing relationships across multiple external parties (clients, vendors, subcontractors, GCs) simultaneously
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project or Smartsheet) and standard office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort representing the company in client-facing meetings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally across client, vendor, and internal teams
- Must be able to pass drug and background screening prior to beginning employment
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be able to work 8 hours per day
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with QA/QC issue tracking and resolution in a field, site, or receiving environment
- Experience in warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or logistics operations
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/procurement workflows
