We are seeking a Project Management Specialist for our Federal and Energy Services teams. The role involves construction experience with energy infrastructure, supporting project development, estimating, scheduling, contract management, safety oversight, financial performance, and quality assurance.

About The Role

The Project Manager will support projects from development through completion, participating in meetings, and providing expertise to ensure project success. Effective communication and project management skills are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Project Documentation

• Manage and document the bid process, including subcontractor pre-qualification, bid package development, and bid evaluation.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and vendors.
• Develop subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Prepare daily construction reports and monitor project status to meet contractual obligations.
• Ensure closeout and O&M documents meet requirements.
• Generate meeting minutes and correspondence for contract compliance.

Project Management

• Develop and manage project schedules and organize on-site activities.
• Interface with customers, supervise contractors, and coordinate subcontractor access.
• Manage materials and equipment, including delivery, receipt, and inspection.
• Inspect work for quality, cost, schedule, and completeness.
• Coordinate inspections for project milestones.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction, oversee commissioning and close-out activities.
• Manage all project aspects with minimal supervision.
• Identify future project opportunities through scope review and site walks.
• Conduct risk analysis and make decisions impacting project outcomes.

Safety

• Develop safety plans for projects and subcontractors.
• Monitor and document safety compliance daily.
• Adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Financial

• Prepare and manage project budgets.
• Track and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide monthly financial projections.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in commissioning, mechanical, electrical, or control systems.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or construction fields.
• Contractor’s licenses are a plus.
• Proven success in customer relations and subcontractor oversight.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and safety consciousness.
• Physical ability to work in diverse locations and conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to build respectful, inclusive team relationships.
• Business acumen, risk management, and strategic thinking skills.
• Eligible for federal security clearance if required.
