Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local AHJs to facilitate the permitting process
  • Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements
  • Prepare and review permit applications and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, development, and project management teams
  • Track and report permit status, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation
  • Coordinate permit activity timelines in alignment with the overall project schedule
  • Identify and assess permit risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report to the project team
  • Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and related communications
  • Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies when necessary
  • Keep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements
  • Manage the end-to-end permitting process for renewable energy facilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with AHJs across multiple jurisdictions

Project Management Consultant (Permit Project Manager)

Juno Beach, FL | 12-Month Contract | $28.50-$33.50/hr | Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours


This role manages and facilitates the permitting process for renewable energy facilities - including solar, wind, battery energy storage, and associated transmission and substation infrastructure - working directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to secure all permits required to build and operate these facilities. The role requires strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams to facilitate project progress, manage risk, and standardize work practices for maximum efficiency.


Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage and support permitting activities within the (Insert) department. Key responsibilities include:



  • Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictions

Education and Experience

  • Experience with construction projects related to renewable energy, electrical utility, or major infrastructure permitting preferred


Working Conditions


  • Primary work in office environment with standard business hours, Monday through Friday

  • May require occasional travel to project sites and regulatory offices
