Job summary

The incumbent will provide end-to-end project management services for a prestigious client, collaborating with facilities maintenance and on-site construction teams, and leading with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and technical writing ability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Lead all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects.
  • Prepare scope, resource requirements, cost estimates, budgets, work plan, milestones, quality control and risk identification.
  • Define delivery resources; conduct RFPs, bid evaluations and resource recommendations.
  • Facilitate charter development and coordinated timeline.
  • Ensure schedule adherence and escalate issues as needed.
  • Lead regular project status meetings with active and pending projects.
  • Collaborate to develop solutions and guide project teams to completion.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to develop new methods and improve objectives.
  • Mentor colleagues to build expertise across the function.
  • Lead by example aligned with CBRE RISE values.

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site, position and hybrid or work from home is not an option. There may be some off-hours or weekends depending on the project schedule with up to 5% travel. This position is part of CBRE’s Project Management function and is responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.

As a CBRE Project Management Consultant, you will provide end-to-end project management services for this prestigious client, directly supporting their strategic business objectives. Strong communication, technical writing, workload management, risk management along with leadership, creativity, organizational, adaptability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must be comfortable and effective working with both facilities’ maintenance teams and on-site construction teams, being able to clearly collaborate amongst all to solve problems and bring projects successfully to completion.

What you’ll do
  • Lead all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects. This includes planning, development, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Facilitate the development of a charter and coordinated timeline.
  • Ensure all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or escalated.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects.
  • Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
  • Showcase expertise in own job field and in-depth knowledge of other job subject areas within the organization function.
  • Mentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
