Job description

Position Summary

This position will be part of the corporate safety team and will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a variety of safety‑related training materials, including eLearning content (primary), video‑based training (secondary), job aids, PowerPoint presentations, and more. The target audience for these programs will be Penske Logistics drivers, warehouse staff, site leaders, safety team members, and other Penske Logistics leadership positions.

Major Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive eLearning courses for a dispersed audience of truck drivers and warehouse workers.
• Create multimedia content such as videos, animations, quizzes, and simulations to enhance learning.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Develop training for various knowledge and organizational levels, including drivers, warehouse associates, supervisors, managers, and safety professionals.
• Work with key safety support personnel to keep training content updated and compliant with regulations and best practices.
• Assess training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
• Continuously improve content based on learner feedback and industry developments.
• Demonstrate experience creating eLearning content using tools such as Articulate, Vyond, and Captivate.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be highly organized and self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Work effectively in cross‑functional teams as both a leader and a team member.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Preferably 5 years of experience creating eLearning content, especially for safety‑related topics.
• Highly organized and self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive on a team.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and adhere to the required schedule.
• Knowledge of background investigation requirements and drug screening processes.

Physical Requirements

• Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze information, and understand instructions or guidelines.
• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms as required.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
