Job summary

Hires Group seeks a senior transportation engineering leader to oversee complex highway and transit projects, guiding design delivery, budgets, and schedules for a reputable engineering firm.

You will lead diverse transportation design initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with standards while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation engineering design projects (BRT, LRT, Complete Streets, transit facilities, traffic engineering, ITS, roadway design).
• Develop contract plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with state and federal design standards.
• Perform engineering studies, design calculations, and quality control reviews of models, drawings, and reports.
• Guide project execution by managing scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor and train engineers.

Take on a senior leadership role overseeing complex highway and transportation transit projects, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams. Lead the delivery of roadway, interchange, and arterial reconstruction designs while guiding budgets, schedules, and quality outcomes.

The job:

• Lead and have project oversight over transportation engineering design projects, such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), Complete Streets, transit facilities, traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems, and roadway design.
• Develop contract plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with state and federal design standards.
• Perform engineering studies, design calculations, and quality control reviews of models, drawings, and reports.
• Guide project execution by managing scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor and train engineers.
