Job summary

Leidos seeks an IA Team Lead to establish and lead a new IA team in support of federal IT modernization efforts. The role requires guiding secure development and integration across sensitive programs, mentoring IA engineers, and coordinating audits and certifications.

On-site in Washington, DC with early flexibility for telework during development phases; active TS/SCI clearance and Security+ CE or higher required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 12+ years of prior relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for degree).
• Experience leading cybersecurity or IA teams.
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher (Sec+ CE or higher).
• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to pass additional customer suitability screenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the security of information systems, ensuring they are secured, maintained, and compliant with policies and standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses to identify threats and mitigate risks.
• Ensure systems comply with security frameworks and participate in audits to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate certification and accreditation of systems before deployment.
• Monitor system activity to detect unauthorized access and security threats; implement improvements to controls.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and other teams to integrate security into development and maintenance.
