Job summary

Hodges, Harbin, Newberry & Tribble, Inc. is seeking a Professional Engineer I to support complex geotechnical projects under the guidance of a Project Manager. You will contribute to design concepts, perform technical analyses, and help prepare engineering documents and reports.

The role emphasizes collaboration with designers and engineers, applied geotechnical skills, and ongoing professional development. Some remote work is possible, with on-site availability as required in the United States.

Qualifications

Graduation from an ABET-accredited college or university with a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Advanced knowledge and experience using Autodesk Civil 3D, MS Excel and MS Word.
Advanced knowledge and experience in hydraulic and hydrologic engineering.
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Continued learning through in-house seminars and external courses.

Responsibilities

Performs routine and special engineering work applying standard techniques and criteria.
Supports geotechnical projects and reviews outside consultants’ work for peer review.
Coordinates with other geotechnical engineers and partners on design tasks.
Assists in preparing engineering documents, schedules and reports.
Seals basic calculations under the direction of the Project Manager.
May perform some project management tasks as experience grows.
