Job summary

Bechtel is delivering engineering, procurement and construction for a major power plant project in the US. The Project IT Lead will report to the Project Manager and join initial work from Reston, Houston, or remote before mobilizing to the job site.

The role requires extensive IT operations experience on EPC projects, strong English communication, and coordination with vendors and client teams. Bechtel offers a comprehensive total rewards package and a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8–14 years of relevant experience (or 12–14 years in lieu).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure systems and cloud/network concepts.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for IT operations and services for the Bechtel project team.
• Provide IT support and deliverables to support project execution.
• Define IT infrastructure, network, and communications for site offices.
• Develop complex IT reports, dashboards, and automate workflows.
• Coordinate IT plans with project team, contractors and client.
• Establish relationships with IT vendors and manage procurement.
• Assist mobilization of project team and asset management (hardware, 2FA).
• Set up printers, scanners, and endpoint devices; ensure connectivity.
• Develop IT metrics and governance compliance; drive improvements.
• Oversee automation/integration requirements with stakeholders.
• Contribute to IT scope of work documents for contractors.
• Deploy approved EPC software and train users.
