Job summary

RSP Architects in Minneapolis seeks an experienced Project Interior Designer to interpret, organize and execute the conceptual design of corporate interiors. You will lead design delivery and coordinate consultants and clients through project completion.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years in commercial design, NCIDQ, and strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office. Lumion is a plus; LEED AP/WELL AP are welcome. A collaborative, detail‑driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA‑accredited school is required.
• 5–10 years of interior design experience in a commercial design firm is required.
• Experience on medium to large scale corporate office projects preferred.
• NCIDQ is required.
• CID is a plus.
• LEED AP and WELL AP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establishes design vision and leads the execution of design intent.
• Project delivery: responsible for all interior aspects of project delivery.
• Builds and maintains trusted‑partner relationships to support project delivery.
• Mentors interior designers and supports professional development.
• Participates in all phases of interiors projects: programming, space planning, design development, construction docs and administration.
• Coordinates and directs consultants.
• Introduces new design concepts and workplace strategies to clients through research.
• Meets all contract requirements set by the Project Manager.

RSP Architects is looking for an experienced Project Interior Designer to join our corporate studio in Minneapolis. Our ideal candidate is passionate about design, particular about the details, and craves collaboration.

Our team is currently looking for an experienced Project Interior Designer who will be responsible for interpreting, organizing and executing the conceptual design of a project. They are an integral part of the team and are accountable to meet project requirements and objectives through project completion.

Responsibilities include:

• Establishes the design vision and leads the efforts to execute the design intent
• Project Delivery: responsible for all interior aspects of project delivery
• Responsible for building new and future "trusted-partner" relationships in support of successful project delivery
• Leads by example, acts as a resource for encouraging team members' professional development, provides mentorship of Interior Designers
• Participate in all phases of an Interiors project including programming, space planning, design development, construction documentation and construction administration
• Coordinate and direct the work of consultants
• Introduce new design concepts and workplace strategies to corporate clients through industry research and a working knowledge of techniques and products used in commercial environments
• Responsible to meet all aspects of contract requirements set by the Project Manager

What we are looking for:

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office Suite required
• Lumion preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of FF&E selection and specification required
• Fundamental understanding of commercial building codes required
• High level of space planning skill required
• Highly skilled in preparing design and presentation documents required
• Independently manages multiple projects and tasks
• Self-initiated work style, seeks out the next step
• Excellent written and verbal communication
