Job summary

RSP Architects is searching for an experienced Project Interior Designer to join their corporate studio in Minneapolis. This role involves interpreting and executing the conceptual design of projects, ensuring all project requirements are met from initiation to completion.

The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Degree in Interior Design, along with at least 8 years of experience in a commercial design firm. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Interior Design at a commercial design firm.
  • Experience working on medium to large scale corporate office projects preferred.
  • NCIDQ certification required.
  • LEED AP and WELL AP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the efforts to execute the design vision.
  • Coordinate and direct the work of consultants.
  • Participate in all project phases from design to administration.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients.

Job description

RSP Architects is looking for an experienced Project Interior Designer to join our corporate studio in Minneapolis. Our ideal candidate is passionate about design, particular about the details, and craves collaboration.

Our team is currently looking for an experienced Project Interior Designer who will be responsible for interpreting, organizing and executing the conceptual design of a project. They are an integral part of the team and are accountable to meet project requirements and objectives through project completion.

Responsibilities include:
  • Establishes the design vision and leads the efforts to execute the design intent
  • Project Delivery: responsible for all interior aspects of project delivery
  • Responsible for building new and future "trusted-partner" relationships in support of successful project delivery
  • Leads by example, acts as a resource for encouraging team members' professional development, provides mentorship of Interior Designers
  • Participate in all phases of an Interiors project including programming, space planning, design development, construction documentation and construction administration
  • Coordinate and direct the work of consultants
  • Introduce new design concepts and workplace strategies to corporate clients through industry research and a working knowledge of techniques and products used in commercial environments
  • Responsible to meet all aspects of contract requirements set by the Project Manager
What we are looking for:
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Lumion preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of FF&E selection and specification required
  • Fundamental understanding of commercial building codes required
  • High level of space planning skill required
  • Highly skilled in preparing design and presentation documents required
  • Independently manages multiple projects and tasks
  • Self-initiated work style, seeks out the next step
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
