Job summary

Jabil in the United States is seeking a Project Industrial Engineer to lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites, driving world-class manufacturing systems and continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on design, startup, transfers, and optimization of SMT and Backend/DF operations, with strong collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects across multiple functional organizations and sites.
• Experience with SMT, Backend/DF, assembly, box build, or electronics manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated experience implementing continuous-improvement, productivity, yield-improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience with manufacturing process development, work measurement, capacity analysis, facility/workcell design, and process optimization.
• Experience supporting program transfers, new facility startups, workcell launches, or manufacturing transitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams across multiple Jabil sites to identify, develop, test, and implement world-class manufacturing equipment, systems, tools, procedures, and processes.
• Ensure current and future manufacturing processes and systems meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
• Review and promote improvements in customer metrics to support customer satisfaction and business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between Operations, Business Units, and Jabil sites during program transfers, including input into transfer plans and data requirements.
• Participate in program launches and provide technical support during implementation.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance to site Industrial Engineering teams.
• Lead standardization of industrial engineering systems, procedures, tools, and practices across sites.
• Design and optimize human interfaces and manufacturing systems for SMT and Backend/DF operations, including material handling and workstation design.
