Job summary

Fugro is seeking a Project Geologist in Houston to lead environmental and geotechnical site investigations. You will manage project tasks, coordinate with subcontractors, and oversee logging and reporting of soil borings and tests.

The role requires a geology degree, strong computer skills, and the ability to read contracts and prepare proposals. Travel and valid driver’s license are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology required.
• Master’s degree in Geological Engineering/Geology preferred.
• Strong understanding of natural resources, environmental science, and geosciences.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead site investigations and manage environmental and geotechnical tasks.
• Develop and prepare site exploration plans.
• Coordinate with property owners and agencies for permits.
• Coordinate with drillers and scheduling the drilling activities.
• Log soils and samples; perform in-situ testing and data entry.
• Assist in cost estimates and engineering reports.
