Job summary

Fugro seeks a Senior Engineer to provide geotechnical engineering support across moderate to complex projects, interpreting data and developing practical solutions. The role involves field investigations, analysis, design, proposals, reporting, client engagement, and knowledge sharing to deliver safe and high-quality project outcomes.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in geotechnical consulting, California PE, and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible geotechnical engineering consulting experience.
• Experience interpreting subsurface data and developing geotechnical recommendations.
• California PE license required; GE license preferred or expected soon.
• Experience preparing technical reports, proposals, and client deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with clients, labs, and teams.
• Strong knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, seismic hazards, and foundation engineering.
• Proficiency in technical writing and reporting.
• Experience leading operational excellence initiatives and project financials.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field investigations and coordinate exploration activities.
• Analyze data, develop practical geotechnical recommendations.
• Prepare reports, proposals, specifications, and client deliverables.
• Engage with clients and manage project milestones and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with QHSSE and local regulations.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
