Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Project Finance Manager for its Raleigh, NC area to lead financial control and reporting on HV substation projects. You will partner with project management to ensure contractual compliance, accurate forecasting, and sound commercial decisions.

Ideal candidates bring a finance degree, 3+ years in project finance, GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and SAP proficiency. Travel ~5% and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial project or commercial project roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS; able to interpret contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project-related financial matters including accounting, tax and foreign currency.
• Forecast revenue, profit, and cash flow; ensure revenue recognition and invoicing accuracy.
• Prepare commercial project documentation and maintain data accuracy for status reviews.
• Ensure IFRS 15 and local GAAP compliance; maintain cost calculations and pricing in SAP/iTWO PM.

Commercial Project Manager / Project Manager Finance Our steadily growing High-Voltage Substation group based out of Raleigh, NC (USA) is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated, and solution-oriented Commercial Project Manager/ Project Manager Finance who will be responsible for the successful financial controlling and reporting of construction projects. You will work together with our technical project management organization with the main objective of executing the projects according to our contractual obligations, project management, and financial reporting standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

• Assume full responsibility for allproject-related financial matters, including accounting, legal, tax, and foreign currency topics throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and optimizeproject financial performance, including monthly forecasting of revenue, profit margin, and cash flow, while ensuring accurate revenue recognition and contractual invoicing.
• Prepare and maintaincommercial project documentation and reporting, ensuring accuracy of project financial data during execution and for regular project status reviews.
• Ensure compliance withIFRS 15, local GAAP requirements, reporting guidelines, and internal controls, while maintaining accurate cost calculations, pricing, and project financial records in systems such asSAP and iTWO PM Imp@ct.
• Support the Project Manager inrisk and opportunity management, contract interpretation, negotiating changes with customers or vendors, minimizing non-conformance costs, and ensuring proper management of guarantees, bonds, and project securities.
• Drivecontinuous improvement and knowledge sharing, including implementing lessons learned, supporting more accurate tender calculations through early project involvement, and collaborating with Procurement and other stakeholders to ensure proper contract flow-down conditions.

What You Bring (requirements)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related financial field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar financial project or commercial project role; project management certification (e.g., PMP or IPMA) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply contractual terms and regulations; experience supporting construction projects is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and financial analysis, combined with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-driven and detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, willingness to travel (~5%), and professional working proficiency in English.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
