Commercial Project Manager / Project Manager Finance Our steadily growing High-Voltage Substation group based out of Raleigh, NC (USA) is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated, and solution-oriented Commercial Project Manager/ Project Manager Finance who will be responsible for the successful financial controlling and reporting of construction projects. You will work together with our technical project management organization with the main objective of executing the projects according to our contractual obligations, project management, and financial reporting standards.
Assume fullresponsibility for all project-related financial matters, includingaccounting, legal, tax, and foreign currency topics throughout the projectlifecycle.
Manage andoptimize project financial performance, including monthly forecastingof revenue, profit margin, and cash flow, while ensuring accurate revenuerecognition and contractual invoicing.
Prepare andmaintain commercial project documentation and reporting, ensuringaccuracy of project financial data during execution and for regularproject status reviews.
Ensure compliancewith IFRS 15, local GAAP requirements, reporting guidelines, andinternal controls, while maintaining accurate cost calculations, pricing,and project financial records in systems such as SAP and iTWO PMImp@ct.
Support the ProjectManager in risk and opportunity management, contract interpretation,negotiating changes with customers or vendors, minimizing non-conformancecosts, and ensuring proper management of guarantees, bonds, and projectsecurities.
Drive continuousimprovement and knowledge sharing, including implementing lessons learned,supporting more accurate tender calculations through early projectinvolvement, and collaborating with Procurement and other stakeholders toensure proper contract flow-down conditions.
Bachelor's or Master'sdegree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a relatedfinancial field.
3+ years of professionalexperience in a similar financial project or commercial project role;project management certification (e.g., PMP or IPMA) is a plus.
Strong understanding ofGAAP and IFRS, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply contractualterms and regulations; experience supporting construction projects isconsidered an advantage.
Proficiency in SAP,Microsoft Office, and financial analysis, combined with strong analyticalskills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Self-driven anddetail-oriented team player with strong communication skills, a proactivemindset, willingness to travel (~5%), and professional working proficiencyin English.
