Job description

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for an Project Finance Analyst (IT-related). This is a full-time, temporary position that is fully remote for a 5+ month project with the possibility of extension.

Hourly Rate:

$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, standard business hours (must be able to work during Eastern Standard Time hours)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepaid Reconciliation: Monitoring and monthly reconciliation of IT prepaid accounts to ensure they are up to date with the current month’s activity.
2. Accruals: Ensuring all expenses are accrued as needed if not yet processed for the month, including making required journal entries.
3. Reclasses: Applying expenses to the correct accounts each month and making the necessary journal entries.
4. Oracle reporting: Running routine reports to support operations.
5. Financial inventory management of fixed assets in inventory accounts as they move from purchase to in-use status.
6. Performance budget analysis comparing monthly forecasts to actuals to provide updated projections.
7. Investigating variances in the budget with respective owners.
8. Monitoring contract renewals and tracking for budget purposes.
9. Process documentation: Assisting in reviewing and updating process documentation to meet standards.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience; accounting and finance experience preferred; some financial management experience required.
2. Experience in an IT environment preferred.
3. Broad knowledge of core finance principles and a basic understanding of the corporate accounting process (forecasting, invoicing, chargebacks, accruals, etc.), preferably with IT experience.
4. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field preferred.
