Job summary

Belmont Search is a construction and infrastructure executive search firm in New York City. The Project Executive role carries responsibility for a portfolio of projects, with direct reports from project managers and superintendents, and ownership of client relationships that drive repeat work.

Reporting to ownership, you will manage the financial results across multiple jobs, handle pursuits, and hire your own teams.

Qualifications

• Twelve or more years of experience, with several years managing a portfolio across multiple projects.
• New York City construction experience.
• Track record of repeat clients.
• Ground up or major renovation work in commercial, institutional, or residential sectors.

Responsibilities

• Direct several projects through project managers and superintendents.
• Own profit and loss across the portfolio.
• Oversee client relationships and foster repeat work.
• Lead pursuits: interviews, fee strategy, and preconstruction work.
• Coordinate with owners, design teams and subcontractors on escalations.
• Hire for your own project teams.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A portfolio rather than a project. The Project Executive reports to ownership, carries profit and loss across several jobs at once, and holds the client relationships the firm’s repeat work rests on.

THE ROLE

Project managers and superintendents report to you, and the financial result of their work is yours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Several projects at once, directed through the project managers and superintendents assigned to you
• Profit and loss across the portfolio
• The client relationships, and the repeat work that follows them
• Pursuits: interviews, fee strategy, and the preconstruction work behind them
• What the project teams escalates, with owners, design teams and subcontractors
• Hiring for your own teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• Twelve or more years, several of them carrying a portfolio rather than one project
• New York City construction experience
• Clients who came back
• Ground up or major renovation, in commercial, institutional or residential work

COMPENSATION

Base of $200,000 to $260,000. Bonus and profit participation vary between firms at this level.
