Job summary

Talesnick Talent Advisory seeks a Project Executive to lead and oversee multiple commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. You will drive performance, client relationships, and profitability while guiding project teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial construction leadership, deep knowledge of contracts and controls, and a track record of collaborating with preconstruction, estimating, and operations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with progressive project leadership.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project controls.
• Proficiency with common construction management and project management technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level oversight for multiple commercial construction projects.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project team members.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, forecasts, contracts, and overall financial performance.
• Partner with pre-construction and estimating teams during project planning, budgeting, and procurement.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Participate in contract negotiations, subcontractor selection, and major project decisions.
• Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Review project financials, including cost projections, change orders, billings, and profitability.
• Ensure project teams follow company standards, processes, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Support business development efforts and help strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Participate in project pursuits, presentations, and proposal development as needed.
• Provide leadership in resolving complex project, client, subcontractor, or operational issues.
• Ensure a smooth project closeout and successful transition to the client.

The Project Executive provides leadership and oversight for multiple commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for overall project performance, client relationships, team leadership, financial results, and successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial construction leader who can manage multiple project teams, build strong client relationships, identify and mitigate risk, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations.

• Demonstrated experience managing project financial performance and profitability.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field operations, preconstruction, estimating, accounting, and executive leadership.
• Proficiency with common construction management and project management technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.

Ideal Background

Successful candidates will have a strong general contracting background and experience leading commercial projects from pre-construction through closeout. Experience across commercial interiors, office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, government, or other commercial construction sectors may be considered depending on the organization’s project portfolio.
