Job summary

Allegiance Group seeks a Project Executive to lead a booming site development division across the Mid-Atlantic, with Virginia focus and Southeast travel. The role requires senior leadership to drive safety, quality, and performance in a large, self-perform construction portfolio.

Responsibilities include guiding operations, supporting BD and preconstruction, and coordinating budgets, staffing, and resources while monitoring performance metrics and implementing improvements across projects.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of progressive experience in heavy-civil and self-perform construction.
  • Expertise in earthwork, mass grading, wet utilities, erosion control, aggregates, paving, and concrete coordination.
  • Based in Virginia with flexibility to travel throughout the Southeast (25%–50%).
  • Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale industrial development is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership across a regional self-perform construction portfolio, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, schedule performance, and operational excellence.
  • Support business development, estimating, and preconstruction efforts through constructability reviews, means and methods, production planning, staffing, equipment planning, phasing, and risk assessment.
  • Represent the organization in client meetings, site walks, project planning, and pursuit activities, providing field-based operational expertise.
  • Establish and maintain realistic production standards based on scope, site conditions, crew capabilities, and historical performance.
  • Review project schedules and look-ahead plans to ensure readiness of labor, equipment, materials, permits, subcontractors, and other resources.
  • Develop workforce strategies that support sustainable growth, local staffing, succession planning, and organizational capacity.
  • Analyze production and project performance metrics to identify trends, determine root causes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with project leadership on operational budgets, labor planning, equipment forecasting, change management, and cost control.
  • Ensure consistent field documentation, production tracking, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Evaluate and implement technologies, tools, and processes that improve field performance, productivity, and operational visibility.
  • Partner with senior leadership on annual operating plans, workforce forecasts, capital equipment strategies, resource planning, and regional growth initiatives.
  • Monitor key regional performance indicators, including safety, productivity, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, schedule performance, quality, and financial performance.
  • Provide Executive leadership with early identification of emerging operational issues, recommended mitigation strategies, and practical solutions.

Requirement

  • Strong experience working with contractors, developers, and owners across pursuits, preconstruction, and project execution.
  • Based in Virginia with flexibility to travel (25% - 50%) throughout the Southeast.
  • Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale industrial development is a plus
Compensation
  • $180,000 - $235,000 (flexible for the right individual)
