Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction management experience.
• Experience leading multiple project teams.
• Significant experience working directly with clients in project delivery and preconstruction/business development.
• Strong knowledge of the Bay Area/San Jose market and relationships within the local construction community.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of multiple complex construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships and ensuring high client satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers and other project team members.
• Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, profitability and risk.
• Monitor project schedules, staffing requirements and overall execution.
• Partner with field leadership to ensure safety, quality, schedule and cost expectations are met.
• Participate in preconstruction strategy, project pursuits and proposal development.
• Identify project risks early and develop effective solutions.
• Support resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
• Develop relationships with architects, consultants, subcontractors and other industry partners.

Project Executive – Commercial Construction

We are partnering with a highly respected, established Bay Area general contractor seeking an accomplished Project Executive to join its San Jose team.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced construction professional who can oversee complex projects and project teams while developing strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

The Project Executive will operate at both the project and strategic level, providing leadership across project delivery, financial performance, client management, team development, preconstruction and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction management experience, including leadership of complex commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple project teams and developing Project Managers.
• Strong understanding of construction operations, preconstruction, scheduling, estimating, contracts and project financials.
• Significant experience working directly with clients throughout both project delivery and preconstruction/business development.
• Strong knowledge of the Bay Area/San Jose construction market, including relationships within the local construction community.
• Proven ability to manage project risk, financial performance and client expectations.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance high-level strategic leadership with involvement in critical project issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
• Ability to travel as required for projects and client needs.
