MPI seeks a Project Executive to oversee vertical build programs in the Columbus area. You will manage timelines, budgets, and resources across multi-project initiatives, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in construction PM, experience with projects over $25M, and a proven ability to lead teams and drive business development opportunities while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or as a Project Executive.
• Experience on projects over $25 Million.
• Proficient in reviewing construction documents including specs and drawings.
• Ability to bring Business Development opportunities to the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct projects from start to finish.
• Supervise project administration staff and construction engineers; coordinate with superintendents.
• Forecast and track project costs/revenue; ensure adherence to estimates.
• Resolve issues related to labor, materials, equipment, contracts, and subcontracts.
• Assist with bidder pre-qualifications, RFPs/RFQs, and project delivery method selection.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals.
• Develop relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant PMs.
• Maintain documentation such as RFIs and change orders.

As a Project Executive, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of vertical build projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing project time lines, budgets, and resources while ensuring adherence to quality standards and client requirements. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the construction processes.

This Large to mid-size General Contractor started as a family owned GC and has had its roots in the Columbus market for roughly 100 years. They operate in multiple verticals with an expertise in Multifamily, K-12 education, Light Industrial, and Higher education with a growing diverse commercial/retail division. Description

The Project Executive will be tasked with:

• Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish
• Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities
• Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates
• Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration
• Assist with pre-qualification process for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFP's/RFQ's, assist the owner in selecting the appropriate project delivery method
• Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals
• Assist with interview process and on boarding of new and potential employees
• Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers
• Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders

Profile

The ideal Project Executive Candidate will have:

• 15+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or as a Project Executive
• Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
• Have experience in multiple fields of construction
• Experience working on projects over $25 Million
• Working knowledge of construction technology and details
• Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
• Bring Business Development Opportunities to the team
• Detail oriented
• Experience leading a team of Project Managers and field staff at all levels
