  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • Champion safety and oversee Project Specific Safety Plans, risk mitigation, and incident response.
  • Oversee preconstruction, bidding strategies, and design-build opportunities with operational input.
  • Manage multiple projects: safety, schedule, budget, quality, and financial performance.

I'm partnered with a highly respected employee-owned general contractor to identify an Senior Project Manager / Project Executive to lead major construction projects and drive long-term client relationships.

This individual will serve as a senior leader within the business, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, and project stakeholders while overseeing multiple project teams from preconstruction through closeout. The role requires a strong balance of operational leadership, business development, financial oversight, risk management, and team development.

The successful candidate will be a relationship-driven leader who takes pride in mentoring teams, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, and delivering exceptional project outcomes that lead to repeat business and lasting client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
  • Represent the company through client presentations, project interviews, industry events, and networking activities.
  • Support long-term client satisfaction and help grow the company's market presence through exceptional service and project delivery.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to Project Managers, Superintendents, and Safety Managers.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the professional development of project team members and help build high-performing teams across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Safety Oversight
  • Champion a culture where safety remains the highest priority on every project.
  • Oversee the development and execution of Project Specific Safety Plans.
  • Conduct ongoing safety reviews and ensure evolving risks are proactively addressed.
  • Lead incident response efforts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the expectation that every employee and trade partner returns home safely each day.
  • Oversee owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and project-related agreements.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and ensure project teams understand key contractual requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate contractual, legal, financial, and operational risks.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and legal counsel to protect the company's interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Preconstruction & Pursuits
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction teams on bidding strategies, pricing, scheduling, procurement, and pursuit planning.
  • Support design-build and design-assist opportunities by providing operational expertise and strategic guidance.
  • Contribute to logistics planning, construction means and methods, BIM utilization, and overall project planning.
  • Ensure successful transitions from preconstruction into project execution.
Project Execution
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Establish project objectives, staffing plans, and performance expectations.
  • Participate in key client meetings and project reviews.
  • Provide technical support, strategic leadership, and operational oversight from project startup through closeout.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project teams and operations.
  • Maintain overall financial accountability for assigned projects.
  • Review and approve project budgets, cost reports, pay applications, change orders, and major expenditures.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and timely resolution of financial issues.
  • Monitor project performance to protect both client and company interests.
  • Work closely with accounting and leadership teams to ensure financial discipline and reporting accuracy.
