Qualifications

• Experience in residential construction estimating, project management, purchasing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read and understand architectural plans and construction documents.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Buildertrend.
• Ability to work effectively with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Construction experience or hands-on knowledge of the building process is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and budgets for custom home construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project plans to determine labor, material, and subcontractor requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop accurate project budgets and cost breakdowns.
• Track project costs and budgets throughout construction.
• Identify budget variances and potential cost issues early.
• Work closely with Project Managers to maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
• Order and coordinate materials for projects.
• Obtain and compare material and subcontractor pricing.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, purchase orders, commitments, and project costs.
• Assist Project Managers with change orders, pricing, and cost tracking.
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding pricing, availability, and scheduling.
• Help ensure materials are ordered accurately and delivered when needed.
• Review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and proper job allocation.
• Assist with project closeout and final cost reconciliation.
• Maintain organized project documentation.
• Perform other estimating and project support duties as needed.
