Job summary

Aspenational is seeking a meticulous Project Estimator to turn blueprints into profitable bids. You will analyze technical specs, develop labor, material, and equipment estimates, and set the project up for success from day one.

Proficiency with Bluebeam and HeavyBid is required, and experience in industrial/manufacturing projects is a plus. You will negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, monitor market costs, and collaborate with project managers to keep bids realistic and profitable

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Build the Blueprint for Profitability: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid to develop airtight, comprehensive estimates.
• Master the Math: Craft detailed proposals covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead so there are zero surprises down the line.
• Lead Strategic Negotiations: Partner with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate terms and gather pricing data that keeps budgets on track.
• Stay Ahead of the Market: Keep your finger on the pulse of market trends, labor rates, and material costs to ensure our bids stay competitive and realistic.
• Mitigate Risk Early: Spot potential cost discrepancies, contract risks, or scope gaps before they become real-world issues.
• Drive Project Success: Work side-by-side with project management to monitor expenditures against estimates throughout the project lifecycle, continually refining processes as we grow.

What You Bring to the Table (Experience & Skills)

• Proven Track Record: Solid experience in project estimating with a deep grasp of construction management and manufacturing site operations.
• Tech-Savvy: Tech-forward mindset with hands-on experience in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating and PM software.
• Negotiation & Communication Skills: Clear, confident communicator who can easily negotiate with vendors/subcontractors and build trust with clients.
• Eye for Precision: Obsessive attention to detail with strong organizational skills—you catch the things others miss.
• Financial & Contract Acumen: Solid understanding of cost-control techniques, pricing strategies, and contract/legal nuances in project bidding.
• Bonus Points: Experience with large-scale or complex industrial/manufacturing projects.
