Job summary

Aspenational in Kentucky is seeking a Project Estimator who can transform blueprints into actionable bids. You will analyze technical specs with Bluebeam and HeavyBid, build profitability, and lead pricing conversations with vendors and clients.

You will craft labor, materials, equipment, and overhead estimates, identify risks early, and work with project management to monitor spend against estimates during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience in construction management or manufacturing sites.
• Experience with Bluebeam, HeavyBid or similar estimating/PM software.
• Strong negotiation and client/vendor communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Understanding of cost-control techniques and contract nuances in bidding.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Build the Blueprint for Profitability: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid to develop airtight, comprehensive estimates.
• Master the Math: Craft detailed proposals covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead so there are zero surprises down the line.
• Lead Strategic Negotiations: Partner with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate terms and gather pricing data that keeps budgets on track.
• Stay Ahead of the Market: Keep your finger on the pulse of market trends, labor rates, and material costs to ensure our bids stay competitive and realistic.
• Mitigate Risk Early: Spot potential cost discrepancies, contract risks, or scope gaps before they become real-world issues.
• Drive Project Success: Work side-by-side with project management to monitor expenditures against estimates throughout the project lifecycle, continually refining processes as we grow.

• Proven Track Record: Solid experience in project estimating with a deep grasp of construction management and manufacturing site operations.
