Job summary

DH Pace Company, a leader in commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking and security solutions, seeks an Estimator for our Springfield, MO office. Under minimal supervision, you will prepare accurate, timely bids to support sales staff, ensuring profitable projects and strong customer relationships.

Construction materials knowledge is preferred. You will review drawings, calculate costs, and collaborate with managers to develop competitive strategies while maintaining excellent vendor

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, plans, and specs.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost estimation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for vendor, customer and team interactions.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to determine amounts and appropriate products for each project.

With minimal supervision, theEstimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive bids. They will work to support our sales staff, resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. Knowledge and/or experience in the construction or building materials industry is strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review drawings and specifications to determine amounts and most appropriate product based on specific job requirements to complete the project
• Collaborate with managers about sale strategies
• Determine cost of projects based on products and quantity
• Strong communication with vendors, customers and upper management
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Experience withblueprints/plans and Specs highly desired
• Must have strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills
• Possess strong mathematical skills
• Must be computer literatewith a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
