Job summary

Floodproofing.com in Mount Royal, NJ is seeking a Project Estimator to set up new projects in our sales management system and generate accurate scope assessments.

You will coordinate with sales reps, generate proposals with suppliers, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. This role requires experience reading building plans, construction estimating, and proficiency with CRM tools, BlueBeam, and Procore. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience reading building plans and specifications.

  • Experience with BlueBeam is preferred.
  • Experience with Procore or other project management software is preferred.
  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms.

  • Generate cost proposals for in-house products.

  • Produce quotes to be sent to customers.
  • Assist in the effort to close projects.
  • Assist in the hand off of closed projects to project management team.
  • Monitor takeoff and quote queues to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail.

Job description

The Project Estimator is responsible for setting up new projects in our sales management system, creating accurate scope assessments, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables through coordination with their assigned sales representatives. This role also works with suppliers to generate proposals which they will provide to the sales team.

Primary Job Duties
  • Receive and analyze new project submissions daily
  • Input new projects into Salesforce and server

Required Knowledge
  • Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
  • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
