Brindley Engineering Corporation in Lisle, IL is seeking a TIC Estimator to develop estimates for small capital projects, typically up to $15 million, working closely with clients, project managers and discipline engineers.

You will build basis of estimates, coordinate inputs, and participate in kickoff and reviews, with opportunities to expand into cost controls, scheduling, and procurement while benefiting from BE's comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Strong Excel skills; familiar with scheduling software.
• Background in engineering or construction.
• Aspen In-Plant or Capital Cost Estimator experience preferred.

Job Description:

Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team-player who is responsible for working closely with clients, project managers and discipline engineers to develop TIC estimates based on internal FEL packages. Individual interest in developing other project services skill sets, such as cost controls, scheduling, and procurement.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop TIC estimates for small capital projects (typically up to 15 million)
• Develop basis of estimates for small capital projects
• Coordinate and present directly to Project Team, Project Managers & Client for review
• Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of engineering inputs into a project estimating deliverables
• Participate in estimate kickoff, internal and external review meetings
• Interest in developing supplemental project services skillsets (cost controls, scheduling, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree or higher is preferred
• Experience: Min Yr = 5
• Technical Skills: Aspen In-Plant or Capital Cost Estimator (preferred, but not required) Background in engineering/construction; Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Familiar with scheduling methods and software such as P6, MS Projects
• Management: No management experience required
• Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Professional Development Opportunities:

• Develop breadth and depth of expertise across a range of projects services disciplines
• Obtain certifications and attend industry conferences through AACE

Physical & Environmental Demands (Non-Field)

Light work: exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Light work usually requires sitting or standing to a significant degree. Considerable time is spent using a computer (fine motor skills, visual acuity) and frequent use of telephone (talking, hearing).

Pay Range

$90,000 - $140,000 annually

The above pay range represents a general guideline; however, Brindley considers several factors when determining base salary that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, certifications, specific work location, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans in addition to base pay to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results.
