Zusammenfassung

Flex is seeking a Project Estimator in Des Moines, IA to prepare accurate material, labor, and project cost estimates for relay and control panels and steel enclosure manufacturing projects while supporting business development and project execution efforts.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will review RFQs, drawings, and bid documents, develop cost estimates, maintain pricing databases, and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely bids.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project estimating, quoting, or cost analysis within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience preparing estimates for electrical equipment, switchgear, relay control panels, or related power distribution systems.
• Strong ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.

• Track estimate performance and assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What a typical day looks like:

• Review customer RFQs, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Leadership, mentoring, or project coordination experience is a plus.
