Could you be the full-time onsite Project Engineering Manager (Rail) in West Mifflin, PA, US (Pittsburgh area) we’re looking for?
You’ll Specifically Take Care Of
- Represent Engineering within the project core team and act as the main customer interface for technical matters.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Lead Train-Level Development Work Packages, delivering Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives.
- Track project progress, report status, and escalate critical technical issues when needed.
Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead cross-functional train development activities across Engineering, Procurement, Industrialization, Services, and other stakeholders.
- Define and deploy technical and QCD objectives for the engineering team.
- Coordinate development planning, configuration and change management, and Design for Operations and Services activities.
- Drive technical decisions, manage design trade-offs, and ensure compliance with Alstom standards and governance processes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks.
Stakeholder & Platform Management
- Collaborate with site, métier, and platform teams to secure resources and deliverables.
- Work with Platform Design Authorities to address technical gaps and project requirements.
- Support continuous improvement through project feedback, product evolution, and performance enhancement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of project engineering experience within rail industry.
- Strong understanding of rail product development and rail systems engineering environments.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional and multicultural teams.
