Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to join our Indiana operations. You will design and oversee engineering projects, develop cost estimates, and ensure compliance with standards while directing vendors and plant teams.

You will lead a team, manage contracts, plan layouts with contractors, and travel up to 50% to support multiple sites. A Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in leadership, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role with people management.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to design and operations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs, material specs, and cost estimates; manage project execution with vendors and plant teams.
• Plan layouts with vendors and contractors; review and maintain documentation.
• Prepare proposals, reports, and define scope of work; manage project status reporting.
• Manage contract administration and monitor installations to meet specifications and budgets.
• Lead and develop teams to drive a positive employee experience.
