Job summary

Intermoor, Acteon's Moorings and Anchors division seeks a seasoned engineering leader to guide project execution across offshore and marine initiatives. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, shape the engineering execution strategy, and ensure technical excellence from concept through closeout.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in offshore/marine/energy, strong communication, and a proven track record of managing complex interfaces with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• P.E. registration preferred.
• Minimum 15 years in offshore, marine, energy industries.
• Minimum 10 years in engineering leadership roles.
• Experience in EPC, EPCI, FEED environments preferred.
• PMP certification desirable.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams offshore.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end project execution from concept through fabrication/installation/closeout.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and supervise the Project Design Basis and overall engineering execution strategy.
• Direct the development of preliminary equipment layouts, system configurations, and engineering designs.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of drawings, calculations, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Manage the preparation and delivery of engineering work packages supporting procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces between disciplines, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Lead the resolution of technical queries, design deviations, concession requests, and NCRs.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, contractual requirements, and company procedures.
• Manage engineering schedules, resource requirements, and deliverable priorities in coordination with project management.
• Support project risk management activities by identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical, schedule, and interface risks.
• Monitor engineering progress and provide regular status updates to project management and clients.
• Participate in project closeout activities, including engineering turnover, file organization, lessons learned documentation, and technical performance reviews.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, project engineers, and project managers within the organization.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Job description

Intermoor, Acteon's Moorings and Anchors business line, provides project and operational management expertise to customers across the mooring lifecycle. By combining operational knowledge of mooring equipment, anchor handling and industry failure modes with subsea engineering expertise, we create a company unmatched within the mooring niche. This approach mitigates risks in delivery, installation and operations across the lifecycle, reducing mooring lifecycle costs and safeguarding major operations that protect start-up schedules when mooring and mooring intervention are on the project or production critical path.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful execution of project objectives

Required

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration preferred
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in offshore, marine, energy, or related industries
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering leadership, project engineering management, or discipline management rolesExperience working within EPC, EPCI, FEED, or detailed engineering environments preferred
• PMP certification desirable
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on offshore, marine, energy, or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of engineering design processes and project execution from concept development through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and closeout
• Demonstrated ability to manage engineering scope, interfaces, schedules, deliverables, and resources
• Experience coordinating domestic and international engineering teams, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors
• Excellent technical written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project execution excellence
• Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams
