Job summary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) in Towson, MD, is hiring a Civil Engineer – Water/Wastewater Engineering to plan, design, and implement water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.

You will work in a collaborative, ESOP-backed firm with a casual yet professional culture. The role involves preparing design files, specifications, cost estimates, models, and reports, coordinating multiple disciplines, and supporting client relationships and marketing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in planning, design and construction of water and sewer systems
• EIT required, civil/environmental degree required
• Experience with plans, specs and cost estimates for public works
• Experience with project permitting

Responsibilities

• Prepare design files, specs, cost estimates, models and reports for water/sewer projects
• Coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines and subconsultants
• Assist with client relationship building and marketing efforts
• Represent AMT at professional association events and bid openings
• Support staff in preparation of construction documents
