Job summary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Civil Engineer – Water/Wastewater Engineering to collaborate on planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure solutions for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.

The role involves preparing design files, specifications, cost estimates, models, and reports, and coordinating work across engineering disciplines. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the planning, design and construction of water distribution and sewer collection systems.
• EIT required
• Experience in preparing plans, specifications and cost estimates for water/sewer pipeline projects for public agencies
• Experience with project permitting
• Technical proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer a Plus
• Experience with water and/or sewer modeling a plus
• Experience in designing pumping, treatment and/or storage facilities a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design files, specifications, cost estimates, models, and reports for water/sewer projects.
• Coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines and subconsultants.
• Assist with client relationship building and marketing efforts.
• Represent AMT at professional association events.
• Support engineering staff in the preparation of construction documents
