Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. in Utah is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Provo division. You will support general contracting activities, scheduling, procurement, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and piping systems on active projects.

Occasional site visits and collaboration with owners, vendors, and subcontractors are required. Ideal candidates have a BS in Construction Management or related field, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Effective Communication Skills both oral and written; quick response time to inquiries.

Responsibilities

• General Contract and Subcontract administration
• Construction scheduling
• Procurement and expediting of material and equipment
• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination
• Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting
• Review of subcontractor applications for payment
• Participation in project meetings
• Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations
• Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors
