Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer for our Utah Division in the Provo area.

The role involves reading blueprints, laying out piping, and installing equipment such as clarifiers, pumps, and aeration systems on water and wastewater projects. Qualified candidates will have at least five years of piping/equipment installation experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and be able to work safely on construction sites in varied weather, with lifting up to 50

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
At least five years of piping and equipment installation experience on water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

Review blueprint drawings and specifications.
Lay out piping and install equipment such as clarifier, filters, chemical rooms, aeration basin system, influent fine screens, and pumps.
Monitor on-site safety for all personnel and subcontractors.
Assist the Project Superintendent in labor tracking.
Understand the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
Knowledge of different process piping materials (PVC, steel, SST, DIP).
Operate forklift, scissor lift and boom lift as required.
