Job summary

PKF-Mark III, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer with 5+ years of experience in heavy construction, focusing on water/wastewater plants, industrial electrical and facilities. Ideal candidates bring initiative, strong planning, problem-solving, teamwork, and a safety-first mindset.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, OSHA 10-Hour, and ability to manage submittals, costs, and schedules across busy field projects within driving distance of the main office.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Engineer / Project Engineer experience in heavy construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Review, coordinate, submit, and track all project submittals.
  • Write construction-work plans, including form/pour drawings and pipe/equipment layouts.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, and other data to plan projects.
  • Manage project cost and performance with field personnel to deliver results.
  • Generate job cost reports for all projects involved.
  • Inspect project sites to ensure conformance to design specs and safety standards.
  • Track and submit claims and changes in scope.
