Job summary

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Georgia Water team in Atlanta. You will work under a Project Manager, collaborating with clients to exceed expectations and deliver design-phase deliverables including reports, memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details and specs.

The role emphasizes strong communication, 4+ years in water/wastewater engineering, and proficiency with MS Office; AutoCAD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Registered as an Engineer Intern (EI).
• 4+ years of experience in water & wastewater engineering.
• Previous internship experience related to design of water/wastewater systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Engineered calculations and detailed design for water distribution, pumping and storage; sewer pumping; water/wastewater treatment plants; and facility improvements.

Project Engineer – Water

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer to join our established Georgia Water team. This role will be led by a Project Manager and involve working closely with clients to exceed service expectations and produce design‑phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Engineered calculations and detailed design for a variety of projects, including water distribution (pumping and storage), sewer collection (pumping), water and wastewater treatment plants, and improvements and retrofitting of existing treatment facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Registered as an Engineer Intern (EI).
• 4+ years of experience in water & wastewater engineering.
• Previous internship experience related to design of water/wastewater systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer or ability to become a registered PE within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in the study, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater facilities and systems.
