Garver is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join our Water Services team in Columbia, SC. You will support planning, modeling and design for water/wastewater projects and work under a Senior Project Manager on a multi-discipline team.

The role emphasizes client communication, team leadership of junior engineers and CAD staff, and exposure to project management and marketing activities as you grow professionally in a mentorship-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET program.
• Licensed Engineer In Training or ability to gain within 6 months.
• 0-1 years of water/wastewater design experience.
• Familiarity with ODEQ regulations.
• Strong communications skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Produce design phase deliverables such as reports, memoranda, plans, sections and specs.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure quality deliverables met efficiently.
• Steer a team of junior engineers and CAD technicians to meet scope and budget.
• Develop marketing and project management experience within a collaborative team.

Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater (Entry Level)

Columbia, South Carolina

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer to join our established Water Services team in Greenville, SC or Columbia, SC.

This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of Water Business Line planning, modeling and design projects for Garver's clients in South Carolina, such as:

• Distribution systems, including conveyance and network piping, pump stations, storage units and reservoirs
• Collection systems, including interceptor, network and outfall piping, pump stations.

The Project Engineer will be led by a Senior Project Manager on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and CAD technicians focused on the production of design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details and specifications.

The successful candidate for this role must also have the following capabilities:

• Ability to work closely with clients to ensure quality deliverables are met efficiently
• Effectively communicate with internal and external clients one-on-one, as a group or in a presentation setting
• Ability to steer a team of junior project engineers and CAD Technicians to accomplish design, budget and project requirements
• Desire to gain marketing and project management experience
