Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Project Engineer – Warehouse Automation & Engineering to support facility engineering projects across distribution facilities. You will assist in designing, building, and improving material handling systems and related processes.

The role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, and external vendors, with emphasis on data analysis, design criteria, simulations, and documentation. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/ Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics, automation, CS, IS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in enterprise systems, warehouse or supply chain applications, automation, controls, SCADA, or related field.
• Experience in warehouse operations design, process improvement, and standardized methods.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Proficient with Excel, MS Project, Access, Word, and CAD/simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers and directors in developing and implementing material handling systems and facilities improvements.
• Help prepare project charters and capital expenditure requests.
• Manage scope with project team and coordinate with internal and external resources.
• Develop engineering documentation, SOPs, and as-built drawings.
• Provide analytical insights and support supplier specifications, RFPs, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment with project goals.
