Job summary

Spencer Ogden is hiring a Project Engineer to support utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects in a remote or hybrid role in San Diego, CA. You will lead technical development from early planning through construction and turnover to operations, coordinating with engineering teams, EPCs, and grid interconnection specialists.

Minimum 3 years in project engineering or renewable energy, Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project engineering, design, or renewable energy.
• Ideal 5–10 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical due diligence across the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate engineering consultants and EPC contractor involvement.
• Oversee engineering during construction and turnover to operations.
• Support project economics inputs and interconnection coordination.
• Coordinate equipment specifications and procurement strategies.
