Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer in Utah to assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with day-to-day project management. The role requires strong communication, time management, and attention to detail to support project staff and subcontractors.

The position emphasizes reviewing shop drawings, schedules, RFIs, and maintaining documentation while monitoring safety, quality control, and environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Proficient in Primavera and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Assist Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with day-to-day project management.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and RFIs.
• Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs.
• Assist with monthly billings and cash flow projections.
• Manage document control and contract documents.

• Maintain as-built drawings and manuals.

Job Description

The Project Engineer will assist and support the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer as well as the project staff in the technical day-to-day project management responsibilities of a specific project.

Skills and Requirements

Strong communication skills both written and oral

Possess high attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience

Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Applications and Outlook

Knowledgeable in Primavera

Must have a valid Driver’s LicenseSupport a team consisting of Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other staff

Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, & workforce

Review shop drawing, submittals and schedules, and process RFIs

Monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs

Understand and assist with project layout

Identify critical work items, and procure long‑lead items

Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders

Manage document control including submittals schedules, contract documents, and shop drawings

Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment

Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce

Instill safety as a top priority

Maintaining as‑built drawings & manuals

Attend and/or lead meetings
