Job summary

Hutchinson, Hopkinton, MA, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead design and analysis for shock and vibration solutions. You will work with customer engineers, perform DFMEA, and plan prototypes from concept through production.

The ideal candidate holds a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, is proficient with Creo (ProEngineer), and has strong communication, leadership, and project management skills. Responsibilities include customer presentations, cost-reduction initiatives, and NPI involvement.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge/experience with Creo (ProEngineer) and FEA; FMEA a plus.
• Courses in shock and vibration.
• Proven organizational, communication, leadership and influence skills.
• Experience designing component solutions to shock/noise/vibration problems; US citizen or elastomeric rubber-to-metal experience preferred.
• Strong project planning and management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read/interpret technical literature and respond to inquiries; ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Customer communication including calls, visits, and technical proposals.
• Design/analysis to reach practical shock and vibration solutions using Creo.
• Plan and manage programs from concept through production and NPI.
• Provide on-going product support, including DFM and cost reduction initiatives.
