Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA, seeks a Construction Project Engineer to support a team of facilities and construction professionals for a high-profile Government client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate would have at least 10 years of experience in construction management, deep knowledge of building systems, and experience working in a Government setting.

Qualifications & Skills
  • A minimum of 7 years of construction management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management from an accredited institution
  • Relevant certifications such as American Society of Interior Designers, American Institute of Architects, or others in A/E/C
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing complex new construction or renovation projects in a commercial environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of building systems including MEP, interior finishes, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract terms
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, and tracking project performance
  • Experience working in a federal government setting
  • Leased office space experience preferred
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage all work related to interior improvements as part of a diverse team supporting a Government client
  • Manage architectural and engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors to achieve project goals
  • Develop and manage project schedules using MS Project or similar software
  • Support building management services including space management, facilities and equipment maintenance, energy conservation, and furniture planning
  • Ensure contractor performance complies with OSHA standards and quality guidelines
  • Oversee project design and construction efforts, including risk management and safety compliance
  • Conduct reviews of construction submittals and contract documents
  • Perform project and contract administration, including records management
