Project Engineer - Pneumatic Installation

In the United States, SEGULA Technologies Experts work across industries such as automotive, software, energy, and life sciences. We support OEMs and suppliers with engineering services, offering new opportunities, exciting tasks, and attractive positions with direct customer assignments.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent the pneumatic team and support vehicle assembly at the Volvo Manufacturing plant in Dublin, VA.
  • Resolve queries or problems reported by Plant Manufacturing during vehicle build.
  • Coordinate with responsible engineers and seek technical support to resolve issues reported by the cross-functional team.
  • Lead and support the design of sheet metal brackets.
  • Assist in CAD module documentation.
  • Support line number documentation and corrections.
  • Release design solutions in PDM - Kola.
  • Lead and support PIL resolution in project and maintenance phases.
  • Manage PCR processes within the project.
  • Regularly review progress and status with the group manager, technical lead, and module lead.
  • Lead XF discussions as required.
  • Ensure quality, design, cost, and feature (QDCF) standards are met and drive solutions throughout implementation.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Knowledge of pneumatic schematics.
  • Strong skills in sheet metal bracket design.
  • Proficiency in GD&T.
  • Understanding of braking systems and standards such as FMVSS 127.
  • Knowledge of Volvo tools and processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with CREO, especially in piping, assembly, parts, and sheet metal modules.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic components, fittings, tubes, connectors, valves, installation, and routing.
  • Experience in vehicle packaging and installation.
  • Truck environment and product knowledge.
  • Experience in supplier management.
  • Good communication and networking skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Result-oriented, accountable, and structured approach.
  • Proactive mindset.
