Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Middletown Works in Middletown, OH, has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer in the Project Engineering department. The role manages projects from design and procurement through installation and start-up of equipment and facilities, working with operations, maintenance, contractors and vendors to deliver safe, on-time, within-budget results.

You will develop scopes, budgets and schedules, review designs, supervise outside firms, and drive improvements in plant operations.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural.
• Three years of technical related engineering experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage engineering projects from design and procurement to installation and start-up.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, contractors and vendors to ensure safety, on-time delivery and budget compliance.
• Review designs, develop scopes and budgets, and supervise outside firms and fabricators.
