Job summary

Sunoco is seeking an engineer to provide technical expertise for the development, design, and execution of capital, expense, and maintenance projects. The role focuses on cost estimation, AFEs, and ensuring safe, efficient project delivery across multiple sites.

The position requires a BS in Engineering with 0-3 years of experience in engineering and project management, preferably in a pipeline/petrochemical environment. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with a preference for Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 0-3 years experience in engineering and project management; 0-5 years in pipeline/petrochemical environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with corporate, terminal/pipeline personnel, senior management, licensors, and industry contacts.
• Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft products; Excel proficiency required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, and performs cost estimation and prepares AFEs for capital and expense projects.
• Prepares specifications and procures materials and equipment for timely execution of projects.
• Provides technical support to departments to ensure safe, efficient installations.
• Performs engineering, design, installation, and startup of projects; supervises contract personnel as needed.
• Manages multiple projects within budget and schedule; follows safety rules and regulations.
• Implements company processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Maintains risk control to public safety and environment; ensures compliance with regulations.
