Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking an engineer to provide technical expertise for development, design, and execution of capital, expense, and maintenance projects. The role focuses on cost estimation, AFEs, and ensuring safe, compliant installations across a portfolio of pipelines and terminals.

The candidate will manage multiple projects, procure materials, and coordinate with departments to deliver efficient outcomes on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required with preference for Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 0-3 years experience in engineering and project management; 0-5 years in pipeline/petrochemical environments preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across teams and management.
• Proficient PC skills, especially Excel, and ability to proof work for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, and performs cost estimation and AFEs for capital and expense projects.
• Prepares specifications and procures materials and equipment for timely execution of projects.
• Provides technical support to departments to ensure safe, efficient installations.
• Performs engineering, design, installation, and startup of projects; may supervise contract personnel.
• Tracks costs and reports status for assigned projects.
• Implements company processes, guidelines, and best practices.
• Manages multiple projects within budget and schedule; emphasizes safety and regulatory compliance.
